Who is an Egg Donation Recipient Candidate

Egg donor recipients are women who are infertile or otherwise cannot conceive through natural processes. The best candidates to receive donor eggs are women with an otherwise healthy uterus who have tried and failed to become pregnant through the use of other infertility treatments such as over-the-counter fertility drugs or surgery to correct endometriosis or tubal obstructions. Women who are unable to produce eggs or produce poor-quality eggs are also good candidates to be egg donor recipients. Selecting a Donor

Our egg donors are made up of healthy women—college students and otherwise—who have completed our thorough screening process and wish to donate their fertile eggs. We understand that choosing a donor is an important decision that can become a daunting process. Egg Retrieval

After the egg donor selection process is complete, the donor and recipient prepare for egg retrieval. The egg retrieval process improves the chances of a successful pregnancy by preparing the recipient’s body to accept the fertilized donor eggs. While the donor receives hormones to encourage the ovary to expel eggs, the recipient takes hormones to mimic those that naturally occur in pregnant women. Learn more about egg retrieval.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

One of the most common fertility procedures, in vitro fertilization (IVF) allows only healthiest sperm and eggs to create fertilized embryos. Embryo transfer occurs at the end of the IVF process, when the recipient’s uterus is prepared and ready to receive the fertilized embryos.
