Egg Donation Program and Recipients – Great Britain

With one of the largest egg donation programs in the world, our egg donor program at IVF New Jersey has helped gay and straight couples in the UK fulfill their dream of becoming parents. A service currently not offered by fertility clinics in London or anywhere else in Britain, patients travel to us from the UK because our egg donation program focuses on finding suitable donors for our couples and helping to ensure a smooth and efficient egg donation process. The egg donation process involves the fertilization of a healthy donor egg with sperm. The fertilized embryo is transferred to the infertile woman—or a surrogate if the woman’s uterus is unable to carry a child—who will carry it through pregnancy. To learn more about our egg donation program for couples in England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland, contact IVF New Jersey today.

Who is an Egg Recipient Candidate

The typical egg donor recipient is a woman who is infertile and cannot conceive, even with the aid of other infertility treatments such as surgery or over-the-counter fertility drugs. She may have a healthy uterus, but is unable to produce, or produces poor quality eggs. Egg donor recipients from all over Britain seek the help of IVF New Jersey to help them conceive a child. If you are having trouble conceiving a child and feel you have run out of options, contact our offices to see if you are a candidate for our egg donation program.

Selecting a Donor

At IVF New Jersey, we actively recruit healthy young women who wish to donate their eggs to infertile couples around the UK. Our egg donor program, managed by an experienced egg donor coordinator, thoroughly screens prospective donors to ensure suitable matches for our couples. Our donor coordinator works with prospective donors and couples, walking them through the egg donation and recipient process and addressing any questions or concerns they have along the way. Learn more about selecting a donor.

Egg Retrieval

Once a suitable egg donor has been selected and matched to an infertile couple, she and the recipient must prepare for the egg retrieval process. During this process, the egg donor recipient’s body is prepared to accept the fertilized donor egg through the use of hormones that thicken the uterine lining to accept the fertilized donor eggs. Meanwhile, the donor receives hormones that induce her ovaries to expel more eggs than usual. Learn more about egg retrieval.

IVF

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a popular fertility procedure in which sperm fertilizes a healthy egg—either from the patient or a donor—to create an embryo. With IVF, only the healthiest eggs are used to create an embryo which helps improve the chances for a viable and healthy pregnancy. Learn more about IVF.

Embryo Transfer and After Care

The last stage of the IVF procedure, embryo transfer is a quick and painless procedure that occurs when the lining of the egg donor recipient’s uterus is ready to receive the fertilized embryo. Learn more about embryo transfer and after care.
