For those patients that are interested in gestational carrier, the process involves approximately four steps. For the initial step, the intended parents should make an appointment for a medical evaluation to make sure that they are good candidates to undergone the gestational carrier process. Once we have determined that they are good candidates, we then recommend a reproductive attorney who will help them find a gestational carrier and set up the appropriate legal contracts that they need to sign. Once this has been obtained, we then have the gestational carrier come in for medical evaluation. Once she has passed this evaluation and once all of the contracts have been signed, we can then proceed and synchronize this gestational carrier cycle with the intended mother’s cycle. In those situations where an egg donor is required we would then synchronize the egg donor cycle once an egg donor has been identified along with his gestational carrier cycle.
