Here at IVF New Jersey, we offer a technique called embryo cryopreservation. This technique is available for couples undergoing in vitro fertilization or IVF. In IVF the goal is to obtain several eggs and these eggs are then fertilized and made in to embryos. Some of these embryos are then transferred back to the woman’s uterus, however, the remaining ones if deemed to be of good quality can be frozen and stored with this technique called cryopreservation. At any later date, the couple may decide to these embryos again at another attempt of becoming pregnant and this procedure is done in a fairly painless way right here in this office.
