In vitro fertilization or IVF is a technology where we stimulate a woman’s ovaries so that many eggs will grow. We remove the eggs with minor surgical procedure. We place the eggs in a Petri dish or test tube as it is often called and we also place sperm in the dish and we fertilize the eggs overnight and few days later we take the fertilized eggs and place them into the women’s uterus with a non-surgical procedure. This is grade technology that has evolved tremendously over the last 20 years. Now we use it to treat many of our patients. Patient who have damaged fallopian tubes. Man who have very very low sperm counts and even couples who have no real reason for their infertility - it is called unexplained infertility. So all of these patients will benefit tremendously from IVF. At IVF New Jersey, in vitro technology provides great success and often land up in a delivery of a healthy child.
